The questions we are asked most often about suitability, the day itself, healing and fees.
What decides suitability is not age but the density of the donor area and the stage the loss has reached. We give a clear answer after a trichoscopic review, and recommend medical follow-up where a transplant is not appropriate.
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic. There is brief discomfort while the anaesthetic is given, and no pain is expected afterwards. Painkillers are prescribed for the first night.
For desk work the third day is usually enough. The first week, when redness is still visible, should be taken into account, and two weeks are advised before heavy physical work.
The transplanted hairs shed at around the second month; this is called shock loss and is an expected stage. The roots stay in place and growth begins from the third month.
A clear appearance forms at six months and the result settles at twelve. With thicker or wavy hair the look fills in earlier.
After the examination we share a written plan and the cost. We do not sell packages, and if the graft range or the method changes we ask for your approval again.
